Knitted from premium merino wool and possum yarn which are used exclusively for luxurious brands, Hamilton socks are like the second skin, providing the sensation which you won't get from cotton and nylon socks.
Why are nooan socks so super soft, warm and ethical?
nooan socks are SOFT because they use 15 micron super fine merino wool and possum down that has had the guard hairs removed. Wool and possum fibres are designed to protect mammals’ skin after million years of evolution. This gives them outstanding performance in terms of:
- Temperature regulation ~ warm in winter and cool in summer;
- Humidity control; this is why wool and possum yarn can reduce symptoms of eczema;
- Odour control
All raw materials used in the yarns are ethically, humanely and responsibly sourced by carefully selected suppliers. nooan only use merino wool from ZQ certified farms because healthy sheep naturally produce the best quality fibre; The ZQ program ensures healthy animals by adhering to five basic freedoms:

Yes you can machine wash & tumble dry them!
nooan socks can be machine washed & tumble dried because the wool is specially treated to soften the cuticles, hence, they don’t inter-lock. The blending with possum fibre also reduces tangling. They will shrink a bit after tumble drying, but will stretch back to the original size when worn.
